New way to ride - surfskate

Geen golven? No worries! Surfskate, it's always going off...
Longboards zijn al een tijdje helemaal terug van weggeweest. Met een longboard kom je net iets dichter bij het gevoel van surfen dan met een klassieke skateboard. Maar toch ook niet helemaal. Vandaar dat er continu gezocht wordt naar nieuwe manier om toch zo dicht mogelijk bij het surfgevoel te komen maar dan op asfalt. Denken we maar aan Carver, Reverse Kingpin, Vertical Kingpin, Seismic Trucks, enz...

En nu is er ook Surfskate waarbij de voorste truck kleiner is en 360 graden kan draaien. Het ziet er wat raar uit, maar de beweging gelijkt zeer sterk op cruisen op een fishboard.

About Surfskate:
About a year and a half ago, Colin decided that he was frustrated with the specialty skateboards on the market; the ones that were supposed to feel like you were surfing or snowboarding really didn’t. So he started taking apart door hinges and anything spring-loaded to design a new board. As he was working out kinks, Colin would test it up and down the streets around our house in Laguna Beach. Every time he rode the board, people would stop to ask what it was or where he got it. After about a month of this constant attention and curiosity from locals, we realized Colin was really on to something and decided to launch this company. We now have a patented front truck that spins on a 360° horizontal axis and a 180° vertical axis. This technology allows riders to pump for speed as if they were on a wave. The SurfSkate is great for everything from getting around town to downhill racing to technical riding.
